Rakettnatt, Tromsø Global, TrAP Tromsø and Storgata Camping made Rakettnatt Global.
Rakettnatt Global was a festival night with Les Amazones D’Afrique, Moksha and Fya LeBoof!
Les Amazones D’Afrique is a supergroup, a collective of musicians established in Mali in 2015. The collective represents some of the strongest women of African music, in accordance with Angelique Kidjo, who they’ve also collaborated with earlier. Here you’ll get to experience European pop combined with West-African folk music.
Fya LeBoof is a DJ and producer from Kampala, Uganda. She is a part of a growing environment of female DJs in Kampala, and plays music that ranges between afro, tribal and latin house.
Fya LeBoof has her own version of afrohouse, with a lot of tropical and African disco vibes. She makes people dance wether they want to or not, maybe because of her good mood when she DJs.
She says herself: “This is an exciting opportunity for me, this being my first gig in Europe. I am incredibly excited!”
Moksha is a Norwegian global name – with some of the best musicians from Scandinavia in percussion and tabla. Moksha consists by Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir on guitar (Norway/Iceland), Sanskriti Shrestha (Nepal) on tabla, and Tore Flatjord (Norway) on darbuka.
Moksha was established in 2012, and has since been on tour in Norway, Europa and Nepal. In April of 2016 they gave out their first album, “The Beauty of an Abitrary Moment” at Jazzland.
